Starting the New Year with Growth and Gratitude: Highlights from MFT’s January 2026 Impact

The new year began with energy, expansion, and meaningful community impact at Mahavir Foundation Trust (MFT). January 2026 reflected MFT’s continued commitment to education, emotional well-being, community connection, and compassionate outreach setting a strong tone for the year ahead.

Expanding Access to Education: New Asha Deep Centre Opens

January marked an exciting milestone with the opening of a new Asha Deep Centre in Kalali (Opp. Silox)! The centre was inaugurated in the presence of Team Silox, MI Chairman Sanjay Sir, and other members after extensive groundwork to prepare for its launch.

Initially managed by Ms. Sangita ben, the new centre will provide regular academic guidance and mentorship to students in the surrounding community expanding MFT’s ability to reach and support even more children.

Investing in Emotional Well-Being

MFT organized a special Social Emotional Well-being Program for 25 children (ages 13–15) from Asha Deep centres. Conducted by Ms. Tripti Pandya, the session used Expressive Art Therapy techniques to help students better understand and positively channel their emotions, thoughts, and inner energy.

By supporting emotional growth alongside academic progress, MFT continues to nurture the whole child!

Building Community and Connection

The MBL Badminton Tournament, held at Suncity Club, Sevasi from January 9–11, brought members together in a spirit of teamwork and unity. The event fostered connection, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among participants.

Asha Deep teachers also enjoyed a picnic at Riparian Resort, providing an opportunity to relax, strengthen bonds, and build a deeper sense of family within the team.

Supporting Academic Success: Scholarship Distribution

An Open Scholarship Distribution Program was held on January 21, 2026, at Manubhai Tower.

  • Approximately 100 students attended

  • Scholarships were distributed to help students continue their education

The event was simple yet impactful, encouraging students to stay focused, work hard, and move forward with confidence.

Recognizing Talent and Achievement

ADMS students brought pride to their community through outstanding performance in the All India Master Art Competition, receiving trophies along with gold and silver medals (Kala Tapasvi Awards). All participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their creativity and dedication.

Moments like these not only celebrate achievement but also reinforce confidence and self-belief among students..

Celebrating Republic Day

Republic Day was celebrated across Asha Deep and ADMS centres. Students and teachers participated in activities that highlighted unity, national pride, and shared values to help children understand the importance of responsibility and community.

Extending Care Through Samvedana

Through the Samvedana initiative, MFT continued supporting vulnerable families by distributing:

  • Ration kits to needy families, widows, and elderly individuals

  • Sanitary pads to promote women’s health and hygiene

  • Blankets to Naya Savera women, providing warmth and comfort

These initiatives ensure that families receive not only educational support, but also essential resources for dignity and daily living.

January’s impact reflects MFT’s holistic approach in expanding educational access, celebrating student success, supporting emotional well-being, and strengthening community ties. With CGOU’s partnership and donor support, the year has begun with momentum and hope. Together, we look forward to reaching even more students and families in the year ahead.
