July Summary: Empowering Students, Celebrating Dedication, and Supporting Our Community
July was another month of meaningful progress and community impact for Mahavir Foundation Trust (MFT). From recognizing the dedication of interns and mentors to providing essential school supplies, expanding access to higher education, and supporting families facing hardship, this month’s initiatives reflected a continued commitment to creating opportunity and serving with compassion.
Here’s a look at what we accomplished together in July.
Celebrating the Dedication of Interns and Mentors
July began with a celebration of the interns and mentors who contributed to MFT’s scholarship assessment efforts through the Internship Certificate Distribution Program.
Certificates were presented to interns in recognition of their sincere efforts and dedication throughout the scholarship assessment process. Mentors were also honored with trophies for their exceptional guidance and support.
The event was a meaningful opportunity to recognize the teamwork behind these important educational initiatives and celebrate the individuals who help make MFT’s programs possible.
Equipping Children for a Successful School Year
For children across the Asha Deep Centres and ADMS, having the right school essentials can make a meaningful difference.
This month, MFT distributed uniforms and shoes to children across these programs, ensuring that students were equipped with essential school wear for the academic year.
Beyond meeting a practical need, providing these essentials helps children approach the school year with greater confidence and a sense of belonging.
Expanding Access to Higher Education
Education remains at the heart of MFT’s work, and July brought significant progress in creating opportunities for deserving students through the Open Scholarship Program.
At the SSG Medical College Auditorium, one scholarship distribution event welcomed 540 students, with scholarships worth ₹35 lakhs distributed to support their educational goals.
A second distribution program at the same venue reached an additional 600 students, with ₹48 lakhs in scholarships awarded.
Together, these two programs provided ₹83 lakhs in scholarships to 1,140 students, helping deserving young people pursue higher education with confidence and continue building brighter futures.
Samvedana: Supporting Families with Care and Dignity
MFT’s commitment to the community extends beyond education. Through Samvedana, July also brought essential support to families and individuals experiencing hardship.
Ration kits were distributed to families in need, widows, and senior citizens to help meet their daily needs. Sanitary pads were provided to support women’s health and hygiene, while blankets were distributed to beneficiaries of Naya Savera, bringing additional comfort and care.
These efforts may address simple, everyday necessities, but they represent something much larger: a commitment to ensuring that vulnerable members of the community are supported with dignity and compassion.
July in Action
From recognizing the people behind MFT’s educational programs to providing school essentials, expanding scholarship opportunities, and supporting families with basic necessities, July was a month filled with meaningful acts of service.
Every student given an opportunity to continue their education, every child provided with the resources they need for school, and every family supported through a difficult time represents progress toward stronger and more empowered communities.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the volunteers, donors, partners, mentors, and supporters who make this work possible. Together, we are creating opportunities, supporting families, and helping build brighter futures one student, one family, and one act of service at a time.
