Celebrating Skills, Scholarships & the Spirit of Diwali: Highlights from MFT’s October 2025 Newsletter
October was a powerful month of learning, achievement, and festive joy at the Mahavir Foundation Trust (MFT) – Vadodara Kendra. From empowering students through scholarship support, to honoring vocational graduates, to celebrating Diwali with warmth and gratitude, the month reflected the very heart of MFT’s mission to Love All, Serve All.
CGOU is proud to continue to support 25% of MFT Vadodara operations, and we are excited to share this month’s inspiring highlights with you.
Scholarship Support for 416 Students
Continuing its strong commitment to education, MFT held two scholarship events in October, ensuring that financial limitations do not prevent bright students from pursuing higher studies:
On October 4th, The Shining Star program at Manubhai Tower provided 66 students with scholarships totaling ₹14 lakhs.
On October 17th, 406 students came together virtually to receive a total of ₹32 lakhs from MFT’s Open Scholarship Distribution program. This event featured CA Shakti Bhai Mehta as Guest Speaker, who shared motivating insights with the students and families in attendance.
Altogether, over 416 students were supported through scholarships exceeding ₹46 lakhs, a powerful reminder of how education transforms lives, especially when fueled by compassionate donors like you.
Celebrating Skill-Building: Margdarshan VTC Convocation
The Margdarshan Vocational Training Centre held its Convocation Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of trainees who successfully completed their vocational courses.
Certificates were awarded, accomplishments were recognized, and students stepped forward with renewed confidence as they prepare for future career opportunities.
This initiative continues to open doors for youth and adults seeking sustainable income through skilled trades—an important and growing focus within MFT’s long-term impact strategy.
Growing Green: Upvan Award & Miyawaki Forest Inauguration
MFT continued its environmental commitment through the Upvan Award and the inauguration of a new Miyawaki Forest. These urban pocket forests contribute to biodiversity, support cleaner air, and offer communities green, restorative spaces. Each Upvan brings Vadodara closer to a more sustainable future.
A Joyful and Connected Diwali
The Diwali season brought light, warmth, and unity across Asha Deep and ADMS centers. Children and families celebrated with sweets and clothing distributions, a colorful Rangoli competition, fireworks display and more!
The festive spirit created a beautiful sense of belonging and togetherness.
Supporting Families with Compassion
MFT volunteers continued to provide necessity kits through the Samvedana initiative.
Ration kits, clothing, and daily necessities were distributed to low-income families, widows, and elderly individuals.
Sanitary pads were provided to women to promote dignity, hygiene, and wellness.
These initiatives reflect MFT’s commitment to caring for the whole community—not just through education, but through sustained support and compassion.
Your Support Makes This Possible
