2025–26 MFT Annual Impact Report: Celebrating 25 Years of Service

Mahavir Foundation Trust (MFT) has just released its 2025–2026 Annual Impact Report, highlighting a year of educational opportunity, community support, environmental responsibility, and meaningful progress as they celebrate 25 years of service.

Guided by the philosophy of “Love All, Serve All, Live & Let Live,” MFT continues to believe that education is one of the most effective ways to uplift families and reduce disparities in society. Today, their programs reach approximately 6,500 beneficiaries, supported by an annual program outlay of around ₹5.5 crore (~$580,000 US dollars).

Their latest impact report offers a closer look at the programs, partnerships, people, and resources that make this work possible. Continue reading below for some of the highlights from the year!

Investing in Education and Brighter Futures

Education remains at the heart of MFT's mission. During the 2025–2026 academic year, the Open Scholarship Distribution Program supported 4,080 students, with scholarships totaling ₹3.7 crore (~$390,000 US dollars) disbursed during the financial year. More than 100 volunteers and donors contribute to outreach each year, helping connect deserving students with educational support.

The Adopted Schools Initiative supported 300 students across three schools, with a strong emphasis on girls' education, merit awards, and scholarships that help students continue their studies.

Through Ashadeep, our Street-to-School initiative, 1,080 children were enrolled across 41 community centres in Vadodara. Children received two to three hours of learning, alongside uniforms, shoes, and nutritious meals. More than 55 education professionals contributed to teaching during the academic year.

The Ashadeep Mentor Sponsor Program supported 80 students in Standards 1–8, with a 10:1 student-teacher ratio and access to educational resources, computer labs, and extracurricular opportunities. Silox also provided food for 800 students across 30 Ashadeep centres throughout the academic year.

Together, these initiatives reflect MFT’s ongoing commitment to making education more accessible and helping children build stronger foundations for the future.

Beyond the Classroom: Building Skills and Independence

The work of MFT continued to extend beyond traditional education to support practical skills, personal development, and greater independence.

Through Margdarshan, the vocational training initiative, more than four batches of students completed training during the 2025–2026 academic year. Participants developed skills in areas including electrical work, mobile repair, and fitting. Graduates have gone on to secure employment, while some have started businesses of their own. The report highlights potential monthly earnings of ₹10,000–₹12,000 (~$100-$125 US dollars) within four months.

MFT also supported three active centres serving 25 women through foundational learning and financial literacy. Participants developed reading, writing, and basic calculation skills, alongside practical knowledge such as operating bank accounts.

These programs help equip individuals with the skills and confidence to pursue greater economic independence.

Growing Greener Communities Through Upvan

Environmental sustainability continues to be an important part of MFT's work.

Through Upvan, an urban greening initiative using the Miyawaki technique, they collaborate with the Vadodara Municipal Corporation and donors to develop pocket forests across the city. During 2024, four pocket forests covered approximately 3,000 square metres, with more than 7,500 native saplings planted. In 2025, Upvan plots 05 and 06 added another 3,000 square metres and 10,000 saplings.

MFT’s environmental commitment also includes involving Ashadeep children in plastic collection and recycling activities, encouraging environmental responsibility and sustainable habits from an early age.

Samvedana: Supporting Health, Dignity, and Essential Needs

Through Samvedana, MFT’s humanitarian relief initiative, they continued supporting vulnerable members of the community with essential resources.

During the financial year, more than 500 women received menstrual hygiene support. MFT also continued the year-round distribution of ration kits and other essential supplies to help address everyday needs.

These efforts reflect the belief that community well-being depends on both long-term opportunities and practical support for individuals and families facing hardship.

Celebrating Talent, Teamwork, and Community

MFT's commitment to holistic development also includes opportunities for children to express themselves, build confidence, and learn the value of teamwork.

The annual cultural event took place on December 19, 2025, at Sir Sayajirao Nagar Gruh. Featuring the theme “Civic Sense,” the event brought together students from Adopted Schools, Ashadeep, ADMS, teachers, and Kayakalp students for performances celebrating dance, music, and creativity.

The annual sports event was held on December 14, 2025, at Billabong High International School, where Ashadeep and ADMS students participated enthusiastically. The event promoted sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence, with awards recognizing winners, runners-up, and selected Ashadeep teachers.

These experiences help students grow beyond the classroom while bringing together the wider community of supporters, volunteers, and well-wishers.

Celebrating 25 Years of Service

On March 7, 2026, Mahavir Foundation Trust celebrated its Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.

The milestone brought together distinguished guests from MI Apex, eminent citizens of Vadodara, corporate donors, and well-wishers to recognize the collective efforts behind MFT's journey.

The report also highlights an important partnership with CAF America, which selected MFT to receive funding support for its Ashadeep Programme. This recognition strengthens the commitment to expanding educational opportunities for underprivileged children.

Looking ahead, MFT is embracing technology to improve accessibility, efficiency, transparency, and accountability. The Open Scholarship Program has successfully transitioned to a fully online process, and technology is also being integrated into Ashadeep to support learning outcomes and program development. Plans include establishing an additional seven to eight centres, with the network expected to grow to approximately 47–50 centres.

A Closer Look at Funding and Financial Stewardship

Creating lasting impact requires thoughtful stewardship of the resources entrusted to us. The annual impact report provides an overview of where funds came from, the partners who supported MFT’s work, and how resources were allocated across our programs.

During 2025–2026, MFT received gross annual donations of ₹5.00 crore (~$526,000 US dollars), including ₹2.18 crore (~$229,000 US dollars) in corporate social responsibility (CSR) contributions. The report also outlines domestic and international contributions, interest income, corpus funding, and other sources of support.

MFT’s program-wise expenditure reflects the central role of education in the mission. Approximately 97% of program expenditure was directed toward educational expenses, including scholarships, Ashadeep, ADMS, Adopted Schools, Margdarshan, and other education-related initiatives. The report also provides a three-year comparison of income and expenditure to offer a broader view of the organization's financial activity.

Recognizing the Donors and Partners Behind the Work

Every milestone in MFT's journey is made possible by the generosity and trust of donors, corporate partners, charitable trusts, institutions, and individual supporters.

The annual impact report recognizes many of the individuals and organizations that contributed during 2025–2026, including major individual donors, donor trusts, CSR partners, and supporters of CGOU (Choudhary Goswami Opportunities for Underprivileged).

While the report acknowledges many of these contributions, we remain deeply grateful to everyone who has supported their work. Every contribution helps sustain programs, expand opportunities, and strengthen the communities served.

Looking Ahead: Our Priorities for 2026–2027

The report also looks toward the year ahead, outlining budget estimates for 2026–2027 and continuing our commitment to educational access, community support, and sustainable development.

Priorities include continuing scholarship distribution, strengthening Adopted Schools and Ashadeep, supporting the Ashadeep Mentor Sponsor Program, expanding vocational training through Margdarshan, providing humanitarian assistance through Samvedana, and advancing environmental efforts through Upvan.

As MFT builds on 25 years of service, they remain focused on reaching more children and families, strengthening partnerships, and using resources responsibly to create lasting opportunities.
